Diablo 4: Constructive Feedback from a Casual Player After 3 Seasons

Prepare for a comprehensive overview, as I share my thoughts on Diablo 4 after three seasons of casual play. While I don't claim to be an ARPG or Diablo expert, my journey through various ARPGs and all previous Diablo titles has provided me with a unique perspective on the current state of Diablo 4. Here's a somewhat unstructured list of feedback and desired changes that I believe could enhance the player experience.


1. Itemization, Loot, Drops, etc.

- The introduction of a higher item power cap was a positive step forward, but the quest for improvement continues. A World Tier V or another item category/power could add more depth and challenges to the game.

- The implementation of diablo 4 items with 925 dropping from vaults/nightmare dungeons in higher levels is a commendable addition, making them more enticing and useful.

- The prospect of an auto-loot feature or a loot pet to collect items behind the player is suggested. This would streamline the looting process, particularly for builds that cause enemies to perish behind the player.

- A loot filter or further adjustments to loot distribution are requested, especially with the abundance of loot in new vaults. The need to backtrack to pick up remaining loot can be a hindrance.

- Managing inventory space remains a challenge, especially after completing runs. A loot filter or an optimized loot management system could alleviate this aspect of gameplay.


2. Aspects

- A plea is made for a revamp of the Codex and Aspect handling. The repetitive process of unlocking the same powers with each season, particularly dungeon aspects, could be made account-wide for basic unlocks.

- The suggestion to allow players to add or level up aspects in the codex is proposed. The accumulating legendary gear and aspects in the stash, compounded by multiple characters, poses a space management issue.


3. Uniques, Builds, Progression

- A desire for less powerful versions of uniques during late WT3 or early WT4 is expressed. This would enable players to target farm these items earlier in their progression.

- A call for more accessible build-enabling uniques, possibly at the start of WT4, is made. The current limitations hinder players from experimenting with new builds until reaching higher levels.

- Advocacy for the inclusion of all uniques in WT3 is suggested, offering players a chance to obtain build-enabling items earlier in their journey.


4. Helltides and Farming for Mats to Reroll Item Stats

- Helltide encounters are criticized for their lackluster mob density, making them tedious and unrewarding. A plea is made for a significant buff to mob density or alternative methods to obtain item reroll mats.

- The request to diversify the means of obtaining item reroll mats and living steel is proposed. Relying solely on Helltide is perceived as a chore, and players yearn for additional avenues for progression.

- Acknowledgment is given to Blizzard for improvements such as living steel chest icons on the map and timers for Legion & World Boss, but further enhancements to the Helltide experience are sought.


In conclusion, these suggestions aim to contribute to the ongoing refinement of Diablo 4, with the hope that the game continues to evolve into a more immersive and enjoyable experience for players of all levels.
