Maplestory M Is An MMO For People Who Have Less Free Time

Maplestory M was launched globally. You'll be amazed if you expect the same experience as the original Maplestory.

Launched in 2003, the original Maplestory is a free 2D side scrolling MMORPG that lets you choose from a variety of exciting work classes and explore hundreds of different worlds in Maple Universe. In Maplestory M, you can only access the original set of courses, The Explorers. You can still play and communicate in real time with thousands of players from all over the world. You can create and join guilds and explore the unlimited customization options available in the original game. However, Maplestory M takes the features that the original Maplestory offers and puts a “smartphone-friendly” spin on them for the better.

Maplestory M is a great way to transfer the game's original interface to your phone, making it more user-friendly and without compromising gameplay. In mobile games, players can easily view and access their controls, menus, tasks, chat rooms, health and magic wands, whether they are in combat or in combat. In contrast, the original game, like most MMORPGs, has a number of hot keys attached to many of the game's features that are difficult to keep up with new players. The ease of use and visibility of game features is an improvement.

Two game-changing features Maplestory M introduces are Auto Quest and Auto Battle.

Auto Quest is accessible as soon as you start playing. It allows players to send their characters off to either obtain quests by engaging with non-player characters or fulfill the quest’s requirements, which may include killing a certain number of golems or obtaining a particular mob drop. Auto Quest is great because it lets you be free. Why do you need to figure out the area map to find out the location of an NPC, or waste your precious time looking for a specific mob, when you can automatically go where you need to go? Auto Quest reduces the amount of time you need to specialize in the often cumbersome tasks of Maplestory, many of which require messages to be sent back and forth between NPCs, so you can have more fun in the guild or exploration.

When your character reaches level 20, the automatic battle will be unlocked. Every day, you will receive a free "2 hour charge" automatic match, this feature allows the player's character to automatically attack and kill the monsters on the map. When you open an automatic match, your character will automatically navigate the map, attack monsters, gain experience points, and absorb resources to maintain your health and magic points.  Characters aren’t immune to death or damage during Auto Battle, so if they run out of potions or are too weak for the mobs they are facing, they will die. Once Auto Battle runs out, you’ll have to resort to either actively grinding or buy Maplestory M Mesos to exchange for crystals, the game’s in-game currency, in order to lengthen your Auto Battle. It’s ideal for players who want to level up their character without having to put an active time investment into grinding.

My favorite aspect of these two new features is to make you multitasking. Auto Quest and Auto Battle continue to run in the background when you use other apps on your phone or perform other actions in Maplestory M. This is not possible in the original game. If you want to upgrade your character, you need to sit down and grind. If you want to buy items for a character, reorganize the inventory of a character, or filter possible accessories for your character in a cash store, you must set aside time. Now, your character can hone and complete the task without sacrificing your time and energy, but putting it into a more valuable moment offered by the game, such as interacting with your guild and with other Elite Dungeon People work together.

Maplestory M restored Maplestory to life in a way I didn't expect. With the introduction of the Auto Quest and Auto Battle features, the proactive time commitment is no longer a major requirement for enjoying the game. Whether you're playing Maplestory since 2003 or just hearing about games, you can enjoy what Maplestory M has for all of its players.
