The city is basically just 2K's way of bringing load times back. Everything you want to do takes into account how long you run there and then often find what you're looking for on the map. If you want to buy a new pair of shoes and go to the court, is that 30 minutes? Instead of loading screens, they just show us jogging.

The next generation should be everything fast. So now they've paid walled players that you need $100 to be a decent player, but you're also inconvenienced that buying a kart can speed up load times, if you pay. We should have a way to load when we want and spawn where we want. Just like the top 5 pick shouldn't be the 60th pick.

I agree 100%. I'm just tired of people acting like 2K needs to compete. Of course competition helps, but you know what helps too? self control. Everyone poops on this game and then folds as soon as pre-orders become available. If everyone on reddit, twitter, and Youtube comments I see complains about the game not being pre-ordered, I'm sure 2K would probably take notice.

I'm not saying it's going to hurt their pockets in any way, but I think they're going to see a huge drop in pre-orders and "hmmm." But again we know this will never happen, just like the Call of Duty community will never happen. Gamers are fickle. They want change, but don't try to actually get it and give in right away.

It's our money, so technically we have power as consumers, but no one wants to leave the game, even if it's just for a few months or a year. I personally have stopped buying Madden and Call of Duty because it's nonsense. Although I can share the game, I didn't play Vanguard until the end of August. I won't even play their game anymore because I already support COD even though I can play it for free.

So far, the previous generation has even been paired with the Got Next mechanic. I was surprised to see 3s and 2s split into different levels which makes it easier to play what you want. 2k22 cities are so fucking annoying. Keep getting kicked, players just keep being invisible, and it doesn't make sense to have multiple parks because it takes 5-10 minutes to get to them, so I have to wait 20 minutes to play or get kicked.

If the 2k23 next gen didn't pair the previous gen as they promised, I'd jump on that damn GOAT ship. I have finished the city. I don't need a damn GTA world to play some damn basketball.
