With a solid foundation like Diablo 4

You can do it. You have created something that you are absolutely proud of. You've taken one of the most beloved IPs in history and created a sequel worthy of the DIABLO name. You totally knock it out of the park. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. All the elements fit together wonderfully.

Visually, the game is stunning. Everything feels good and conveys the right emotions. I was actually disgusted in some of the more grotesque scenes. Stunning art design on every level, from characters to environments and equipment. Great sound design (after setting the effect volume to 5 so you can hear other features in 5.1 surround sound) - music and ambient sound setup perfect in every area . The voice actors also gave a great performance.

I won't say much about the story because of the spoilers, but damn, it's clear that some real love has been put into this aspect (unlike d3 imo but everyone). However, the characters and interactions in the world are amazing of diablo 4 gold. There is a lot of lore and life in the temple - you can connect with these NPCs.

As for the gameplay, well done. I played on console with my wife and young kids (I played and we skipped most of the cutscenes). Both had fun with me while I nurtured an addiction that developed with me at the age of 7 almost 25 years ago. Having been an avid PC gamer all his adult life, this is a complete miracle. Creating a chair co-op experience that can rival anything I've played is truly a testament to your dedication.

Are there things to improve? Obviously yes and I have to assume your corporate lords are the reason we're not quite perfect yet - making a live service game that doesn't really need a new service is a no-brainer financially reasonable... we get It.

As a player who has spent several hundred hours each in diablo 1, 2 and 3, as well as several thousand heavyweights on POE, thank you for all you do.

I expect all that will come from this foundation that you have poured your soul into.

Great answer in this thread from everyone. Nice to see so many other people having a great time as well.

To clarify a few things, regarding my point about live services, this concept only works if a game is released with a solid foundation like Diablo 4. Garbage clearance along with plans to fix it is how the developer lost access to my wallet.

I also forgot to shout at the engineering team. This is one of the best launches in a long time. I only have a couple of hours waiting to play (which is still bad), compared to days before.
